How to make Plugins for Same-X 2.X


Tools you will need:
1. An art program for doing the Art.
2. Resedit.
3. A tool for sound.


The best way to start is to open an existing theme file in Resedit and replace resources with your own.
Theme Plugin creator codes:
The Theme plugins require the following type code "SXpi"
The Theme plugins require the following creator code "TBSX"
The Sound plugins require the following type code "SXsf"
The Sound plugins require the following creator code "TBSX"

Animations:
There are two type of plugins, Sprites and Tiles.
Both are animations made from 64 X 64 pixel cells.
Sprites need a matching Mask. Tiles don't.
The Game engine determines the number of animation frames by dividing the cell picture by 64.
A set of cells needs 5 object types.
Hence the cell image height is 5 X 64 pixels.
And the cell image width is "NumFrames" X 64 pixels.
Images need to be drawn a 72 X 72 dpi to work correctly.
Also Same-X uses 16 bit color so make sure your Pictures are 16 Bit (Thousands).
When you have your Art done paste it into the plugin with resedit.
The resource type is PICT.
The game engine needs the following if Sprite Animations:
1001 The Sprites.
1002 The Mask. (Greyscale).
1010 A 300 X 200 Pixel About image.(Your name and e-mail etc.)
Optional PICTS are :
1003 A Backgroud Picture.
The game engine needs the following if Tile Animations:
1004 The Tiles
1005 A single cell (64 X 64) for the blank tile.
1010 A 300 X 200 Pixel About image.(Your name and e-mail etc.)

Sound:
If a theme has any of the following sound resources Same-X will use them.
1001 Illegalal click
1002 Object 1 click
1003 Object 2 click
1004 Object 3 click
1005 Game Over - not solved
1006 Game Over - solved "Bonus"
1007 Object 4 click
1008 Object 5 click
You can also create a sound file which is like a theme without any picks.
